MINI CALZONE PIZZA

Why not fold up all your favourite pizza fillings into a yummy calzone...the ultimate pizza pie.



Mini pancetta calzone • Olive & tomato salad • Marinara sauce for crust dipping



YOU NEED:


Smoked pancetta - 65g

Pizza dough - 400g

Marinara sauce - 150g

Mozzarella - 240g

Parmesan - grated

Dried Oregano

Fresh Basil


MAKE IT:


1. Heat the oven to 180C/ Fan 160C. Cook the pancetta in a pan until crispy.

2. Slice your pizza dough into 8. On a floured surface, roll each section out into a circle.

3. Take one circle of pizza dough and spread a spoonful of Marinara onto one half. Add some of the mozzarella & pancetta.

4. Sprinkle some dried oregano & grated Parmesan. Tear in some fresh basil.

5. Fold over the pizza dough and use a little water to seal the edges. Pinch the edge of the pizza dough all away round to seal in the filling.

6. Use a sharp knife to pierce 2 vents in the top. Brush with a little egg wash or olive oil and pop in the oven to cook for 20 mins.

It’s no secret I’m the biggest fan of pizza, so here’s a fun little way of serving them to your little ones!

A mini calzone...the perfect pizza pie!


You could easily make a larger version of this for bigger appetites but I think you’ll find everyone in the family will prefer the mini calzones. I used pancetta in my filling but you could add anything you wish. Here’s some more of our favourites:

🍕Salami, chilli & mozzarella

🍕Mushroom, spinach & ricotta

🍕Meatballs & Swiss cheese

🍕Tuna, onion & cheddar


🧀 And if you’re a cheese lover like me, you can sprinkle extra cheddar or Parmesan on the crust before you pop them in the oven.
